The late Dr. Lee Burchinal

Dr. Lee pioneered several educational projects in Sudan, he began the first linkage between an American university and any Sudanese institution in the social sciences. He was also the first to bring CD-ROM equipment and conduct training in libraries in Sudan. He played a major role in empowering educational institutions in Sudan, which was in a span of more than five decades. He established Ahfad Journal: Women and Change.

Dr. Amr Abdallah

Dr. Amr has extensive experience working in conflict areas in Sudan as well as his vast experience in managing the design and evaluation of training programs in several countries. He was the senior advisor on Policy and Research in the Institute of Peace and Security Studies in Ethiopia. An expert in the training of Conflict Resolution and Peace Building. Dr. Amr has a Ph.D in Conflict Analysis and Resolution.

Iman Gariballah

Iman has a long history of community development. She was one of the founders of the Sudanese Community Development  Organization (SACDO) and was elected as its first female President.  SACDO serves over 10,000 individuals in the metropolitan area. She has various training in community outreach and BSc. in Management.

Dr. Donna Cowan

Dr. Donna Cowan co-founded with other team members the first linkage between A Sudanese University and American University in Social Sciences, that lasted over three decades called : An Equity Model, she also assisted in the implementation of a curriculum emphasizing the role of women as agents of social change in Sudan. Dr. Cown held several leading positions in various educational institutions including  Associate Dean and Coordinator of International Affairs, College of Family and Consumer Sciences, Iowa State University.

Safa  El Kogali

Ms. El-Kogali is a leading international development expert with more than 20 years of experience in government policy dialogue, strategic leadership, program management, and research. Her work focuses mainly on education, labor markets, poverty, youth and gender. Since joining the World Bank in 2000, Ms. El-Kogali  published various studies, including the recently launched World Bank flagship report, Expectations and Aspirations: A new Framework for Education in the Middle East and North Africa (2018)
