Dear Readers, welcome to our second issue of the IERO Newsletter. Our first issue was received very well by AUW staff and we hope we will receive more inputs from you to enrich the newsletter. Our plan is to share the newsletter with AUW partners and Alumni so we let them know of the external and international programs going on in AUW. A Delegate from US Embassy pays a visit to AUW

A delegate from the US Embassy, Khartoum paid a visit to AUW on Tuesday, January 4th , 2011 in response to an invitation from AUW to the embassy.

 

They met with the President of the University, Professor Gasim Badri and Deans of Schools, heads of some of the Academic Units and the International & External Relations Office (IERO). The delegate consisted of Mr. Bill Bellis, the new Public Affairs Officer, Ms. Nancy Crane – Educational Advisor, Mr. Masri Gibriel – Cultural Specialist and Abdullahi Dirar – Director of the Information Resource Center. The meeting discussed potential increase in AUW links with US universities and areas and opportunities for collaboration in academic spheres particularly the English Language teaching and use of the Information Resource Center at the Embassy.
